It looks like the dial and hour/minute hands are of a later style (6694), but I still like the watch. The dial shows "- SWISS -" rather than the "- T SWISS T -" seen on this dial style usually. I am looking for my first Rolex, and so far I am really interested in the Rolex Precision (mainly model 6694). It's a manual wind watch, as far as I can tell they were made between the 1950s to the 1970s.
I love the color combination on this simple, manual wind 6494 from 1958 . the creamy dial, the gold markers that sparkle in the sun, the contrast wi Vintage Rolex Oysterdate 6694 Precision. This watch was manufactured in the 4th quarter of 1959 (as stamped inside the case back). The serial number between the lugs reads 491976, which corresponds correctly to this date.
